October - Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Ladies
It's life changing, or so you think, you've been diagnosed with breast cancer, you've googled it 50 times or more and you still don't quite understand what's going to happen, how you've got cancer in the breast, but you've joined that roller coaster and now you're just about to have surgery.  The hospital has provided you with a bra for post surgery and so there you go.
STOP
It doesn't and shouldn't be like that, why? just because you're having a lumpectomy or a breast removed should you not be put in touch with the very best of post surgery lingerie.  The amount of ladies I get into my boutique stating I was given this bra it doesn't fit  and I don't know what to do ... We have even had ladies ringing us from hospital asking for advice.
We at Sheer Bliss would like to invite all ladies to come into our boutique before surgery to ask our advice, although we aren't trained doctors or professionals on breast surgery, we know what you will need post surgery and what is important from all our experiences.
We provide a first class, personal and professional pre surgery fitting service and our bras with silver skin antibacterial are without question what you should be wearing after the bandages have been removed and you need to feel supported.
Following that we can help to fit you with the most beautiful of mastectomy bras advising on style and fit and making sure just because you've had surgery how you can still look and feel amazing.

Sheer Bliss Lingerie Boutique

HI
I'm Jayne and new to blogging on Blogger!!
I own a lingerie boutique in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire called Sheer Bliss and I wanted to share with you my set up story.
When my daughter was 15 she was diagnosed with a serious brain abscess, it was a difficult time for our family, she was admitted to Leeds General Infirmary and underwent a 4 hour operation to remove the abscess, the treatment was a long and gruelling course of antibiotics.  Like every treatment and long term hospital stays it came with very down days and it was during one of those days, that I had a light bulb moment.  It became all too apparent that life is short and for living and although I was doing a job I loved as an accountant, it was my dream to have a boutique and my love of beautiful lingerie was the direction I decided to take myself.  So I left my well paid job and set up Sheer Bliss, which is a lingerie, leisure wear, swim wear boutique, it was a learning curve doing something that I had never done before, so I embarked on finding the premises, the suppliers and the staff to help me, again it hasn't been without it's difficulties and setting up websites, social media pages etc has been a steep learning curve.
But I am here and I love my boutique, my friends and family have been massive supports and I couldn't have done it with out them.
So over the next few weeks I will be blogging about different types of body shape, lingerie and how we all must embrace our bodies and our own special place.
